Happy New Year!!! 2012 brought many blessings and a few trials for my family. I don’t often say this on January 1st, but this year, I’m ready for a fresh start. My husband’s illness dominated most of our year, and I’m ready to put it behind us and move on!! 2013 is going to be our year. I can just feel it. Plus 13 is our number.
I wanted to share a few of my resolutions with you so that you can help hold me accountable. Without further ado, here they are.
1. Read more often. I truly love reading, but I don’t do it as often as I’d like. While I’m at, I should probably read new books. I have this (terrible) habit of re-reading books I already know I love. My mom says I have a fear of new things. Leave me comments or tweet me with some book recommendations!
2. Practice my Chinese. I can practically feel the Chinese falling out of my head. I never get to use it, so this year, it’s my goal to find a way to not only keep up with it, but to continue learning and improving. If you speak another language, how do you keep up with it?
3. Eat clean & train mean. I do like eating healthy foods and working out, but I can also get in bad patterns of convenience and/or laziness. I want to be more active and make a conscious effort to choose better foods to nourish my body. Share your favorite healthy meal or snack recipes with me!
I’m going to write these resolutions down in a place where I will see them often. To share my progress with all of you, I’ll be posting book reviews and my favorite healthy recipes on my blog. These are just a few handy little tricks to help you stick to your resolutions. Share them with friends so they can keep you on track, put them in a place where you’ll see them and be reminded of the goals you’ve set for yourself, and, most importantly, don’t fret if you fall off the wagon. Just hop right back on!! You don’t have to waste another year just because you hit a few bumps along the way.
