Dermaloque BB Cream Review

I was intrigued when my friend Marisa from Apartment 402 posted an Instagram picture of this new BB cream she got.  Later that day I saw that she had retweeted a post about a Twitter contest the BB cream company, Dermaloque, was putting on, so I decided to take my chances.  I WON!  And boy am I glad I did.  You all know that I’m a BB cream fan, and I’m always excited to try out new products.  Especially because my Face It Aqua Tint BB Cream has been failing me as of late.  Becoming uber-shiny upon application is not exactly what I’m looking for in a face product. Ew.  Well it was my lucky day when my Dermaloque BB Cream arrived in the mail!  Check out the full review below to hear my thoughts.

Here are some before and after pictures for your viewing pleasure.  Although it pains me to post a not-so-awesome naked faced picture of me, I figured I had to just to show you how amazing their BB Cream really is.  I’ve even got some blemishes right now, which I suppose will just help make my case about Dermaloque’s concealing powers.

Before — Naked Face!
After — Dermaloque BB Cream only

Dermaloque is a Korean skin care brand that prides itself on its high quality ingredients such as aloe vera, green tea extracts, and pomegranate extracts.  Their claims for their BB Cream are:
– SPF 30
– Anti-aging
– Whitening
– Long lasting, 24 hour protection
– Waterproof & sweatproof
– Evens skin tone and fades acne scars over time

In my experience, I’ve really enjoyed wearing this product.  As for the claims that take some time (anti-aging, fades acne scars, etc.), I can’t be sure yet since I’ve only been wearing it for a couple of weeks, but it definitely provides a clear, even skin tone and amazing coverage.  I don’t need any concealer, so Dermaloque BB Cream is like my one-stop-shop to flawless skin! I love that it has a matte finish, yet has the slightest bit of shimmer to provide radiance and dewiness.  I get tons of compliments on my skin when I’m wearing this, and it lasts all day without ever rubbing off or becoming shiny.  I’ve even worked out it in and it is indeed sweatproof!  Hooray :)

As I mentioned in my video, Marisa has also been testing Dermaloque’s BB Cream for the past month.  She just posted her review on her blog, Apartment 402, and she is just as obsessed as I am!   While my skin is super dry, hers is more normal to oily, so you can hear the review of someone with a different skin type.  It works just as well on her skin as it does on mine.  Here are her before and after pictures.

Marisa — Before. If only we could all look this amazing with naked faces!
Marisa — After; Dermaloque BB Cream only.

As you can see, Marisa has a much darker complexion than I do and has pink undertones, whereas I have yellow.  The one shade of BB Cream still looks great on her, but she likes to set it with a little bit of bronzing powder to help it really match well.  When she’s going out at night and needs a little extra coverage, she mixes it with her MAC Pro Longwear Foundation with great result.

Check out her full review and while you’re there, stay a while.  Browse around.  Marisa has an amazing sense of style and a serious talent for baking (and decorating) cupcakes.  Apartment 402 is an amazing fashion & lifestyle blog that always makes for a good read.

If you’re in the market for a new face product or have been wanting to see what this whole BB Cream craze is all about, you should definitely try Dermaloque’s BB Cream.  You can purchase it here for $25, which is a great price for such an amazing product.  Like & follow Dermaloque to get the latest updates from them.  Plus they frequently run Twitter contests, so don’t miss a chance to win!

XOXO

Disclaimer: I received this product as part of a Twitter contest, but my review and opinions are completely honest and my own.

  1. Bought it–LOVE it! I am not a fan of foundation, but as I get older I am needing something with more coverage than just powder. This covers well and with out the heaviness of foundation. Thanks for the review and recommendation!
