Navy & Gray Smoky Eye

I had a request a while back to use the colors Pebbles (a medium gray) and London Fog (a deep navy) from my Too Faced Matte Eye Palette, so naturally I wanted to create some kind of smoky eye.  Although I like to keep my makeup light and warm during these scorching summer months, there are times when you need to darken up your eyes and rich browns just don’t work with the look you’re going for.  Enter this navy and gray smoky eye that has a touch of shimmer to brighten and lighten this look to fit even the hottest of summer evenings.

Navy & Gray Smoky Eye

Keep the rest of the face looking radiant, and pair this smoky eye with a “your lips but better” shade of lipstick.  Going too nude can leave you looking washed out, and that just doesn’t really fit well with the summer heat.  Top it with a bit of shimmery gloss to keep your lips looking luminous too.

Navy & Gray Smoky Eye

BLEND, BLEND, BLEND.  You want the edges to be soft to keep this look from becoming too harsh and dramatic for summer.  I’ve also toned it down by keeping the eyeliner to a minimum.  I used just enough to enhance my lash line, and even refrained from creating my beloved wing at the outer corner.  ::gasp::

I hope y’all enjoyed this look!  Be sure you’re subscribed to my YouTube channel so that you’ll be updated later today when I upload my June Favorites!

Best & Blessings,
