Too Faced Matte Eye Palette: Evening Smoky Eye

Too Faced Matte Eye Evening Smoky Eye

Good morning and Happy Monday!  I’ve got another Too Faced Matte Eye Palette look for you today, and it’s a fun, evening smoky eye that I was wearing a ton last month.  It’s the look I was rocking in my Easy, Fishtail Updo tutorial, and if you haven’t seen that yet, pop on over and check it out.  It’s a great hairstyle to pair with this look for an evening out on the town.  I combined frosty lavender with deep navy for a wonderfully soft, yet sultry smoky eye that will look great on everyone!  Enjoy this tutorial and go try out this new look!

When you’re creating a smoky eye, it’s important to even out the look by bringing some color to your lower lash line as well.  Here you can see how the purple blends seamlessly into the navy for balanced drama.

Since it’s Spring, I find myself wanting to lighten up my evening makeup routine as well.  I want a look that is appropriate while it’s still light at 7pm AND when night finally falls.  By keeping the color primarily in the crease and outer corner, you can maintain some brightness in the inner corner and along the lash line.  If you’ve got more eyelid space than I do (and goodness knows that’s not hard), you can really take advantage of this technique!

I hope you’ve all enjoyed this tutorial!  As I mentioned, I’ll have a brow tutorial up on my YouTube Channel later today; be sure you’re subscribed to that as well so that you’re the first to know when it goes up!  I’ve had quite a few requests for how I tame my brows, and I can’t wait to share my tips and tricks with all of you.

Best & Blessings,
