Every Day Makeup Routine Fall 2012

Well, we’re all packed up and ready for our Disney Cruise!! I’m sure I’ve over-packed as I nearly always do.  Does anyone else have that problem? I pinned this a long time ago, and let me tell you, it couldn’t be more accurate.

Don’t worry, we will be taking lots of pictures and videos on the trip!! Perhaps I’ll put together a little vlog of our trip when we’re back?  But of course I couldn’t leave without posting my Every Day Makeup Routine of this fall.  We’ve been quite busy with decorating the house, so I’ve kept it pretty simple — winged black eyeliner paired with hot pink ombre lips.  Watch for yourself and see how it’s done!

Gel eyeliner makes a cat eye, winged liner look incredibly simple.  Liquid liner can be hard to manage and pencil liner just can’t create those precise lines and angles.  This eyeliner technique looks great on everyone and is such a sophisticated way to play up your eyes without a lot of contouring and shading with shadows.

Since I’ve been keeping my eyes SO simple, it leaves a lot of options for my lips, so I like to have a little fun with it.  My mom recommended this Revlon lip stain and it’s just so amazing.  It doesn’t dry out my lips and lasts for hours and hours.  Brights are still in, but it can be intimidating to rock hot pink lips, especially on a regular basis.  Instead, I’ve created this ombre effect for just a pop of color! It’s so easy, but I recommend using a stain for this technique because a lipstick would wear off too quickly since the color is focused on the insides of the lips.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this latest peek into my current makeup routine!  I’ll be back with lots more when we get home!! Have a spectacular week, friends!
