Recently I’ve been trying out some new candles and my Prize Candle has become one of my favorites. What’s a Prize Candle, you say? It’s a pure, natural soy candle that’s free of parabens and other bad chemicals, and contains a piece of jewelry ranging in value from $10 to $5,000. Yes, you read that right. I have the Escape scent which is really nice for the summer with notes of Island florals, pineapple, peach, and undertones of vanilla, with just a hint of island spice. I’m usually not the type to go for sweet scented candles, but this is quite nice and not at all overwhelming or sickly.
After burning the candle for a few hours, you can start to see the prize package peeking through.
I’d burned through at least the top third of the candle and you can see about half of the prize package, but it was still too early to retrieve it.
At last the prize is ready for the taking!
In each prize package, you receive a ring and a little sheet with a code that can be entered on the Prize Candle site for an appraisal. My ring was worth $10.
It was a really fun experience, but it does require either some patience or some serious candle burning. Kyle was eager to see what the prize was, so he took it on as his duty to watch over our candle and see if it was ready. He’s the one who ultimately pulled out the prize and found that the wax felt nice on that hands (almost like a massage oil), but that some of it had leaked into the package. The appraisal sheet was pretty oily and the ring required some cleaning as well. Once he had it all wax-free, I was able to look at the ring and it was quite nice even though it was the least expensive prize. The major drawback for me was the size. This ring is MASSIVE. Now, I know I have super tiny fingers and most costume jewelry rings don’t fit me, but this fit on Kyle’s ring finger. And he’s not a small person. Not a huge deal since it was only worth $10, but I would have definitely had to get it resized if it had been worth more money.
These Prize Candles run for $25 which is a little pricey in the candle world, but they are top quality and you have the chance to win a ring that is well worth that money. I also recommend getting on their mailing list because I’m always getting special offers and deals from them. If you’re interested in getting a Prize candle of your own, I have a special discount code just for my viewers! Use code FREE20RACHEL for 20% off a purchase of $24.99 and up at checkout!
Overall, it was definitely a fun experience! The candle itself is really nice, and the mystery of the prize makes it that much more enjoyable. Let me know in the comments below if you’ve tried Prize Candle or plan to purchase one in the future!
Best & Blessings,
