Urban Decay Naked: Bridal Look
Waterproof, sweat-proof, tear-proof makeup is a must on your big day.  Even if you don’t think you cry, you probably will.  I was doing just fine until we handed our moms roses during the ceremony and she started to cry.  I literally handed her the rose and instead of saying something sentimental and sweet, I said, “Stop crying!  You’re going to make me cry!”  Primers, long wear foundation, and waterproof mascara need to be in your wedding day makeup bag.

Urban Decay Naked: Bridal Makeup
The key to looking and feeling your best on your big day is to look like “you.”  However, if you normally skip makeup completely on a regular basis, use this special day to treat yourself.  This look is designed to enhance your natural beauty, make you look amazing in your photos, but not be too overwhelming.  If you normally wear this much makeup every day, then intensify the eyes with a little bit of black shadow in the outer corner and add some more eye liner to make it more of a smoky eye.

And now, I thought I’d share some of the photos from our wedding so that you can see what I looked like on my big day!

wedding - dress detail

My dress was a sweetheart strapless dress with rouching and this amazing beading that continued on to the train.

wedding - bouquet

My bouquet was amazing!  Cream and blush roses with anemones and black calla lilies.

wedding - lipstick

Our photographer caught this awesome shot of me putting on my lipstick.  I thought I should include this one since this is a beauty blog after all.

wedding

My veil had beading along the edge that matched my dress perfectly even though they were not made to be worn together.

wedding - guest book guitar

Kyle and I both play guitar and love music, so our guest book was this guitar that our guests signed in silver sharpie.  It’s now hanging along side two of Kyle’s electric guitars on our “guitar wall.”

wedding - baseball

Our life size recreation of ….

wedding - cake topper

Our cake toppers!  My parents put these in our stockings the Christmas after we got engaged.  So perfect considering I really do have my own bat (not pictured) and batting gloves (pictured) and an obsession with hitting.

wedding - gazebo

One of my absolute favorite photos from our wedding.  This was taken in the gazebo during the cocktail hour at our reception.

 Best & Blessings,
Rachel

I found your blog while searching for bridal makeup and I am so happy I did!! 🙂 This is the exact look that I want. My wedding is in 3 weeks (the traditional ceremony…we eloped over the summer!) and I wasn’t sure what I was going to do for my makeup. After watching your videos, I ended up replacing my brushes (long overdue) and purchased the Sigma brushes kit. I can’t wait until that arrives!! I have the UB Naked palette, the UB All Nighter spray and the Too Faced No Makeup Makeup palette and some of the drug store items listed on the other video so I will be mixing the 2 video tutorials for my wedding makeup. I am also a brunette with fair skin but I have oily skin so I hope the makeup looks well on me. Any suggestions for makeup longevity on oily skin? Any tips are greatly appreciated!! 🙂

Aw I’m so happy that you enjoyed the looks! Congrats on your wedding! As far as making your makeup last, I would use a mattifying primer and I’d look into getting the UD DeSlick setting spray. That would work as a primer and setting spray. Most people use it before foundation, after foundation, but before everything else, and then again at the end!! xo

OMG!!! My Stila brushes have arrived and they are the best. I had the Mary Kay brush set before and their brushes are so rough and even shed bristles. The Stila brushes are soft and just plainly amazing. My makeup went on perfectly! And again, thank your for the tip on the UD De-slick setting spray. It also arrived and I have already given it a try and it truly made such a difference. My wedding makeup will be perfect! 🙂 I’ve never followed any blogs or vlogs (I have never watched or subscribed to anyone) so I am so glad your video came up in my bridal makeup search on google! Your tips are perfection! 🙂
